Dear Parents and Caregivers,
On Sunday, April 4, we will begin our next rotation. This month, our lesson set will be on “Esther”. Please read this story with your child, which can be found in the book of Esther in the Old Testament. The memory verse this month is, “And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” ~Esther 4:14b
The objectives for this rotation are as follows:
• Retell the story of Esther in their own words
• Understand that both Vashti and Esther are heroes — not because they were beautiful, but because they did what was right.
• Understand that “doing what is right” is risky, but know that we can ask God and others for courage and help.
• Understand that no ethnic or racial group deserves poor treatment.
Please don’t forget to review the children’s ministry web site (www.cadescovefellowship.org/children) to see what your child will be learning each week of the rotation.
Please do not forget that we will be holding a fundraiser car wash on Satruday, April 18 from 10am-2pm at Advanced Auto Parts in West Knoxville (corner of Northshore and Ebenezer). I am asking all parents to please participate. All donations received will go to the Children and Youth ministries.
Please also continue to help your child to remember the memory verse each month.
I also want to point out that our Children’s “Rotation” classes will now be held during our 10:45 worship service. I am very excited about this “community transition” because it will allow us to reach so many more children who are unable to come to the 9:30 service.
Thank you for all your support!
In Christ,
Sarah Myers
