During our Creation rotation, chidren will be playing several games in Parable Place:
- God’s Colorful Creations: Each child will take turns having a colored sheet of construction paper taped to his/her back (without seeing the color). The other children will then have to call out things that God created that are the same color as the sheet of paper. The child then has to guess what color of paper is on his/her back.
- Order Up: In this activity, the children will work as a team to put 8 cards in the correct order. Each card will represent a day of creation. There will also be a card with the word “God” on it. The two key concepts in this game are to remember what items were created on each day (in the correct order) and to realize that God was in existence BEFORE all the days of creation.
- Create It!: In this activity, children will use clay to mold items that fall into the category their teacher calls out. Children will only have 2 minutes each round to create their item.
